As a Shop Foreman at United Rentals, you’ll assist in leading a maintenance enterprise. You’ll ensure Service Technicians, equipment and materials are utilized properly to maximize productivity. You’ll continually improve efficiency and customer satisfaction, by ensuring equipment is properly maintained and repaired. You will work closely with the Service/Branch Manager, and help build a profitable location with your leadership, service and maintenance knowledge. Excellence in this challenging and rewarding position paves the way for advancement into the role of Service Manager.

Additional duties include the following:
Coordinate the activities of Service Technicians
Train and supervise mechanical personnel when necessary
Responsible for the safe maintenance and repair of a variety of complex rental equipment
Diagnose and supervise the repair of equipment to ensure work is performed efficiently
Maintain paperwork/electronic documentation of work performed (work orders) in a complete and timely manner on a daily basis
When required, travel to customer job sites for repair/maintenance of rental or customer owned equipment; must maintain service vehicle in a clean and professional manner
Other duties assigned as needed
Job Requirements:
High School Diploma required; trade-School Degree a plus
Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record
5+ years of experience repairing/maintaining equipment and tools
Advanced mechanical aptitude and working knowledge of tools
Must own tools applicable to position
Extensive knowledge of construction equipment with an advanced understanding of schematics and diagrams
Strong diagnostic and repair skills for a variety of systems
Superior customer service, teamwork and verbal/written communication skills

Responsabilités complémentaires (liste non exhaustive) :
Coordonner les activités des techniciens de service
Former et superviser le personnel mécanique lorsque nécessaire
Responsable de l'entretien et de la réparation en toute sécurité d'une variété d'équipements de location complexes
Diagnostiquer et superviser la réparation des équipements pour s'assurer que le travail est effectué efficacement
Remplir les formulaires/documents électroniques des travaux effectués (bordereau de commande) de manière complète et en temps opportun sur une base quotidienne
Au besoin, se rendre sur les chantiers des clients pour la réparation/l'entretien de l'équipement appartenant au client; doit maintenir le véhicule de service de manière propre et professionnelle

Exigences du poste :
Diplôme d'études secondaires requis; diplôme d'école de commerce est un atout
Permis de conduire en cours de validité et dossier de conduite acceptable
Plus de 5 ans et plus d'expérience dans la réparation/l'entretien d'équipements et d'outils
Aptitude mécanique avancée et connaissance pratique des outils
Doit posséder des outils utilisés dans le cadre de cet emploi
Connaissances approfondies de l’équipement de construction et compréhension avancée des schémas et des diagrammes
Solides compétences en diagnostic et en réparation pour une variété de systèmes
Sens du service à la clientèle et du travail d’équipe, compétences en communication verbale et écrite

As a Shop Foreman at United Rentals, you’ll assist in leading a maintenance enterprise at a Fluid Solutions branch. You’ll use your technical knowledge to perform routine maintenance, trouble-shoot and repair pump equipment of varying sizes, capacity, function and manufacturer. Your primary objective is to coordinate the activities of yard and shop personnel, plus to diagnose and supervise the repair and assembly of Fluid Solutions equipment to ensure that work is performed efficiently, while maintaining a clean and safe work area.

As a Shop Foreman at United Rentals, you’ll assist in leading a maintenance enterprise at a Trench Safety branch. You’ll ensure your team, equipment and materials are utilized properly to maximize productivity. You will also perform all previous or available levels of Equipment Associate and Welder duties. Your primary objective is to coordinate the activities of yard and shop personnel who provide labor assistance to the sales staff, plus to diagnose and supervise the repair and assembly of Trench Safety equipment to ensure that work is performed efficiently, while maintaining a clean and safe work area.

Diagnose all equipment in the rental fleet appropriately utilizing schematics or engineering tabulated data
When required, travel to customer site for repair/maintenance of rental or owned equipment, assist in the pick up and delivery of equipment and parts to and from outside vendors and other United Rentals, Inc. locations for purchase and repair
Other duties assigned as needed
Job Requirements:
High School diploma or equivalent; Trade school training preferred
5+ years of experience repairing and maintaining equipment and tools
Knowledge of proper hydraulic and pneumatic testing procedures
Working knowledge of trench safety related products and applications
Strong leadership, teamwork, and customer service skills
Diligent attention to safety
Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record
