United Rentals Analyst, IT Asset in Charlotte, North Carolina

As an Analyst, IT Asset, at United Rentals, you will maintain all aspects of the Information Technology Asset Management System (ITAM). You will also manage ITAM Ordering Process along with managing the financial components of IT Asset Ordering. Most importantly you will strive for continuous improvements to processes.

Additional duties include the following:

  • Item Creation – add newly approved vendor items and relevant details to ITAM catalogs

  • Catalog updates – item maintenance, vendor price changes, monitor End of Life items, add or update photos, etc.

  • Item Mapping – ensure proper mapping of all items (Asset Type, Make, Model, etc.)

  • Process daily ITAM order report scripts

  • Analyze order reports for accuracy

  • Monitor HEAT Incident que to answer/resolve IT Asset Order-related questions

  • Initiate RMAs with the vendors for damaged items, etc.

  • Collaborate with IT Development to automate manual and/or inefficient ordering processes

  • Review Vendor invoices for accuracy - compare to supporting detail, verify serial numbers, validate active employees & locations

  • Code and Process Vendor Invoices in Catalyst (AP System) or Concur (Credit Card system)

  • Create Knowledge Bases (K-Bases) within HEAT to document procedures and processes

  • Collaborate with IT Leadership and IT Development Team on ITAM development upgrades, testing & support. Propose projects to improve ITAM efficacy and efficiency

  • Other duties assigned as needed

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experienced required

  • Preferably 2-5 years of experience

  • Advanced Data Analytical Skills (Excel)

  • Competent navigating multiple systems

  • General Accounting, financial flow

  • Vendor/Customer communication skills

  • Meticulous attention to detail
