United Rentals Senior HRIS Analyst - Remote! in Cincinnati, Ohio

As a Senior Human Resources Information Systems & Security Analyst (SR HRIS & Security Analyst) at United Rentals, you will be responsible for overseeing the day to day HRIS operations. You will also implement HRIS initiatives including new and enhanced systems, user friendly reporting tools and reports, defining data security roles and configuration, and a heightened level of data integrity.

Additional duties include the following:

  • Optimize HR systems (Workday) and processes for the HR teams, managers and employees by leveraging business knowledge and expertise to identify opportunities for process improvements

  • Provide HRIS user/customer support which includes but not limited to: Employee Self Service, Manager Self Service, Reports, User training, Troubleshooting process and data issues and Promote HR/HRIS policies and procedures

  • Define and update data security and roles

  • Conduct thorough reviews and audits; Perform validations and updates based on new functionality

  • Use project management skills and partners closely with the HR teams to understand functional requirements to research, design, development, documentation, testing, and implementation of HRIS enhancements, customizations, upgrades and mass updates

  • Design and develop custom reports and dashboards for HR team and leadership

  • Other duties assigned as needed

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Computer Science or a related subject

  • Workday HR system knowledge, process, procedure and best practices

  • 5+ years of global experience implementing and supporting Workday HCM applications; desired areas of expertise include Core HCM (Onboarding, Hire, Termination, Change Job, Compensation), Advanced Compensation, Recruiting, Talent, Performance, Payroll, Time Tracking, Absence, and Prism

  • 3+ years of experience with Workday Security configuration and creation of complex Reports

  • Experience in creating process and audit documentation preferred

  • Highly motivated individual with strong customer relationship & support skills

  • Ability to learn new technology and concepts quickly with excellent analytical/technical aptitude

  • Ability to multi-task easily and juggle priorities in a fast-paced environment

  • Skilled communicator, with well-developed verbal, written and presentation ability

  • Excellent interpersonal, collaboration, and problem-solving skills

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
