En tant qu'ingénieur principal chez United Rentals, vous serez responsable du support technique de plusieurs centres de profit au sein de la division Trench Safety. Les tâches supplémentaires comprennent les suivantes :

• Évaluer les conditions du site et concevoir des systèmes d'étaiement sûrs, efficaces et structurellement solides qui favorisent l'efficacité et la praticité du chantier sur le terrain.

• Fournir des plans spécifiques au site scellés/estampillés PEng, y compris les dessins de conception d'étaiement des tranchées/excavations et les calculs à l'appui

• S'assurer que les dessins et les plans techniques sont exacts et répondent aux normes de conception technique applicables et aux exigences du CCHST.

• Former si nécessaire et fournir un soutien technique aux représentants commerciaux de Trench Safety pour fournir des devis aux clients.

• Estimer les coûts du projet et préparer les propositions pour les clients

• Obtenir et/ou maintenir des licences professionnelles dans plusieurs provinces

• Autres tâches assignées selon les besoins

Exigences de l'emploi:

• Bilingue (Français/Anglais

• Titre d'ingénieur professionnel (PEng); B. S. en génie mécanique, structurel ou civil, ou dans un domaine d'ingénierie connexe

• Familiarité avec AISC ASD ou LRFD

• Familiarité avec l'analyse de base de l'ingénierie structurelle et les normes de conception

• Familiarité avec les propriétés de base du sol, les procédures d'essai et l'interprétation des données géotechniques

• 5 à 10 ans d'expérience en tant qu'ingénieur agréé dans un environnement d'ingénierie structurelle ou géotechnique

• Maîtrise de la norme d'excavation du CCHST

• Expérience avec Autocad, Mathcad, Microsoft Word et Microsoft Excel.

• Doit être capable de travailler efficacement de manière indépendante, ainsi qu'au sein d'un environnement d'équipe

• Doit être capable de travailler efficacement avec les clients et les représentants commerciaux pour planifier et négocier conceptuellement la conception de systèmes d'étaiement.

• Solides compétences organisationnelles et souci du détail

As a Sr. Engineer at United Rentals, you will be responsible for the engineering support of multiple profit centers within the Trench Safety Division. You will be dedicated to meeting Trench Safety engineering needs of contractors, industrial and commercial companies, and in doing so, drive profitable engineering revenue for the Division and Company.

Additional duties include the following:

• Evaluate site conditions and design safe, effective, and structurally-sound shoring systems that promote jobsite efficiency and practicality in the field

• Provide PEng sealed/stamped site specific plans including trench/excavation shoring design drawings and supporting calculations

• Ensure engineering drawings and plans are accurate and meet applicable engineering design standards and CCOHS requirements

• Educate as necessary and provide engineering support to Trench Safety sales representatives in providing quotes to customers

• Estimate project costs and prepare proposals for customers

• Obtain and/or maintain professional licenses in multiple provinces

• Other duties assigned as needed

Job Requirements:

• Bilingual (French/English)

• Professional Engineering (PEng) designation; B. S. in mechanical, structural or civil engineering, or related engineering field

• Familiarity with AISC ASD or LRFD

• Familiarity with basic structural engineering analysis and design standards

• Familiarity with basic soil properties, testing procedures, and interpretation of geotechnical data

• 5-10 years experience as a licensed engineer in a structural or geotechnical engineering environment

• Proficient in the CCOHS Excavation Standard

• Experience with Autocad, Mathcad, Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel.

• Must be able to effectively work independently, as well as within a team environment

• Must be able to effectively work with customers and sales representatives to conceptually plan and negotiate shoring system designs

• Strong organizational skills and fine attention to detail
