United Rentals Outbound Sales Supervisor in Gilbert, Arizona

Description:

Responsible for overseeing and mentoring a team of Sales Associates in the Sales Development Program. Meet and exceed sales objectives for assigned team by leading the sale and rental of assigned products throughout targeted areas.

People Management:

Supervise, train and develop qualified sales professionals.

Communicate job expectations and foster a collaborative climate.

Ensure employees complete required compliance training including equipment safety, sales, and negotiation training.

Guide Sales Associates through Development Plan to ensure successful promotion to an Outside Sales position.

Responsible for employee communication and satisfaction.

Schedule personnel for certain field visits, order supplies, process and maintain up-to-date time and attendance records.

Sales Coaching and Development:

Provide sales coaching and development to a team of Sales Associates to drive Rental Revenue and Used Equipment Sales.

Assist in the curriculum development and implementation throughout the training period.

Responsible for helping to resolve issues where staff needs assistance. Escalate issues to Sales Manager, as necessary. Ensure compliance with processes and policies and provide guidance and coaching where needed.

Seek out new innovative persuasive selling techniques to continually evolve the program.

Provide feedback to Sales Manager and/or Program Director regarding promotability of Sales Associates.

Recruitment:

Participate in the interview and onboarding process of new Sales Associates.

Attend recruitment functions, when necessary.

Innovation:

Assist with implementing, sustaining, researching and developing quality process improvements utilizing SalesForce.com and other industry tools to train, develop and promote best in class sales representatives.

Requirements:

Education:High School Diploma required; Bachelor's Degree preferred.

Experience:

Minimum 2 years of supervision and leadership experience required.

Sales or business management experience preferred.

Basic knowledge of the construction rental equipment or related industry preferred.

Computer skills (MS Suite, SalesForce.com required).

Excellent communication skills -- written, verbal, facilitating, relaying information and presentation skills.

Ability to multi-task, plan and organize time.

Driver's License required.

Working Conditions:Office environment with 10% field travel, typically to targeted areas.
