United Rentals Customer Training Associate in Kansas City, Missouri

As an Associate, Trench Safety Training at United Rentals, your primary responsibility is to support all aspects of online training operating procedures and sales support with the objective of a customer service advocate and lead generation specialist.

Additional duties include the following:

  • Distribute incoming web leads to sales teams related to customer safety training

  • Identify and generate new business through the use of sales and marketing tools

  • Learn accurate use of United Rentals' computer systems for United Academy, scheduling and customer training records and RM invoicing

  • Support operational processes for virtual training with scheduling, registration, invoicing, and certification tasks.

  • Provide moderator and customer service support duties in all virtual course offerings.

  • Assist with LMS support needs as required for a streamlined customer experience.

  • Work with customers to create new corporate accounts in United Academy

  • Educate customers on training offered through United Academy and other aspects of the UA value proposition

  • Perform other duties as assigned by the direct supervisor

Job Requirements:

  • Minimum of six months' work in Inside Sales, or one year experience in a sales-related role required

  • Valid driver's license required

  • Sufficient computer experience that will allow incumbent to learn United Rental's proprietary systems.

  • 1 year experience using Microsoft Office

  • Proven, strong communication, presentation and interpersonal skills

  • RentalMan experience preferred

  • Demonstrated sales and negotiation skills

  • Established independent worker and self-starter required

  • Demonstrated customer service orientation, planning, problem-solving and organizational skills required

  • Ability to multitask
