As an Outbound Sales Supervisor at United Rentals, you’ll be responsible for overseeing and mentoring a team of Sales Associates in the Sales Development Program. You will meet and exceed sales objectives for the assigned team by leading the sale and rental of assigned products throughout targeted areas.

Additional duties include the following:

  • Supervise, train and develop qualified sales professionals

  • Provide sales coaching and development to a team of Sales Associates to drive Rental Revenue and Used Equipment Sales

  • Guide Sales Associates through Development Plan to ensure successful promotion to an Outside Sales position

  • Schedule personnel for certain field visits, order supplies, process and maintain up-to-date time and attendance records

  • Responsible for helping to resolve issues where staff needs assistance. Escalate issues to Sales Manager, as necessary. Ensure compliance with processes and policies and provide guidance and coaching where needed

  • Provide feedback to Sales Manager and/or Program Director regarding promotability of Sales Associates

  • Ensure employees complete required compliance training including equipment safety, sales, and negotiation training

  • Participate in the interview and onboarding process of new Sales Associates

  • Assist with implementing, sustaining, researching and developing quality process improvements utilizing SalesForce.com and other industry tools to train, develop and promote best in class sales representative

  • Other duties assigned as needed

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma required; Bachelor's Degree preferred

  • Minimum 2 years of supervision and leadership experience required

  • Basic knowledge of the construction rental equipment or related industry preferred

  • Effective leadership, motivation, and organization skills

  • Sales Management Skills

  • Computer skills (MS Suite, SalesForce.com Required)

  • Excellent communication skills – written, verbal, facilitating, relaying information and presentation skills

  • Strong interpersonal skills with emphasis on coaching

  • Ability to multi-task, plan and organize time

  • Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record
