As a Marketing Manager at United Rentals, you will be a part of a field marketing team that supports regional and specialized business unit sales efforts, with a primary responsibility for leading and executing a portfolio of marketing initiatives including sponsorships across a variety of sports and other relevant categories. You will be responsible for managing sponsorships which includes maximizing internal adoption, customer engagement, brand experience and preference, related revenue capture, and return on investment. You will also lead and support other marketing initiatives that support field revenue objectives by acting as a resource to the field organization and applying marketing principles and best practices to programs that originate at the corporate and field level.

Additional Responsibilities Include:
Serve as single point of contact, manage relationships and develop positive partnerships with sponsored teams/organizations
Maximize impact and results of sponsor/partner programs and related activities and integration into corporate marketing initiatives
Manage and fulfill all contractual requirements for each partnership, often dealing with c-level or similar executives internally and within partner organizations
Vet new proposals and opportunities, and assist with contract negotiations and development as needed
Create strategic plans that leverage the unique characteristics and opportunities of each partnership to connect with customers and bring the UR brand to life through curated experiences
Develop and manage event communications plans targeting internal and external audiences
Manage tickets, hospitality, branding and other assets of partnership programs
Evangelize sales, operations and marketing colleagues to build awareness and excitement about sponsorship programs and gain support and involvement
Partner with key stakeholders across business units to deliver on revenue and related objectives
Identify and act on opportunities to extend the reach and impact of sponsorships into broader marketing and brand activities and programs
Responsible for all budget planning, tracking and management related to all events and programs
Collaborate with leadership to establish goals and objectives and provide regular reporting on success against relevant metrics
Other duties assigned as needed
Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Sports Marketing, Event/Hospitality Management, Business, or related field required
5+ years of related work experience in sports marketing, sponsorship management, or experiential marketing, either internal corporate or agency
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
Demonstrated success in sports marketing and/or experiential marketing programs
Experience negotiating and managing complex contracts and large event budgets
Exceptional interpersonal and relationship-building skills
Excellent time management, organization and project management skills and attention to detail
Customer-centric mindset and attitude
Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills
Willingness to work remotely and travel up to 50% of the time, including outside of the US as needed
