United Rentals Senior Pricing Analyst in Scottsdale, Arizona

As a Senior Pricing Analyst, you will work to maximize profitability by identifying pricing opportunities and implementing effective strategies. You will develop, interpret, analyze and help implement complex business strategies. You’ll also perform analysis on customer and equipment data to improve decision making and to aid in the development of action plans. You’ll partner with the regional sales and operations team in development, analysis, and implementation of regional pricing strategies.

What you'll do:

  • Work with local market teams to develop and maintain a strong understanding of market factors contributing to market pricing performance

  • Conduct periodic business reviews with district/regional teams.

  • Develop project plans, conduct necessary research, and lead analysis of operating, customer, and financial data

  • Partner with district/regional teams to develop a pricing strategy in support of go to market strategy

  • Utilize pricing optimization engine (Zilliant) to develop and issue pricing guidance

  • Develop, interpret, and distribute in market reporting highlighting rate acceptance and price compliance

  • Collaboratively work with other members of the pricing team to establish and maintain standardized reporting.

  • Interpret reporting and highlight specific areas of opportunity.

  • Distribute insights to local market teams.

  • Evaluate local contractual pricing agreements and provide analysis and insight to local market teams

  • Assist local sales teams in the creation of contractual pricing proposals

  • Perform customer analysis to identify opportunities for increased customer profitability.

  • Deliver final recommendation to market teams and facilitate execution of final customer agreement

  • Other duties assigned as needed

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Business; MBA preferred

  • Minimum 4-6 years, finance, pricing analytics experience

  • Strong analytical and organizational skills

  • High sense of urgency

  • Excellent presentation and written/verbal communication skills

  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access and Tableau Visualization Software

  • Strong customer service, interpersonal and problem resolution skills
