United Rentals Production Assistant in Stamford, Connecticut


The Production Assistant will be the primary manager of Corporate presentation formats, and handle production of high impact documents for the Board of Directors, Investor Day presentations, Management Meetings, and other forums. Working with the Marketing team and other graphic design and powerpoint specialists across the company, develop and manage ongoing an exciting repertoire of graphics and production capacity to minimize dependence on expensive third-party resources. In addition, working with the M&A team, develop tracking solutions for the acquisition and VC pipeline (i.e. Salesforce.com, Devensoft). Finally, manage all calendaring and travel for the Strategy & Business Development team.

Essential Duties:

Graphic design and report production

Working with the Strategy, Marketing, Investor Relations and other teams, design and maintain the Company powerpoint template, and manage report production for key management meetings including Board sessions, Investor Days, Management Meetings, etc. To reduce reliance on expensive, outside vendors, cultivate a "graphics and production community" to support burst capacity for high impact graphic development and large presentation events like the September Board Strategy Offsite and Investor Days.

M&A and VC pipeline management

On behalf of the M&A and VC teams, identify, implement and manage pipeline tracking and management tools (i.e. Salesforce.com, Devensoft). Work with the team to define the appropriate software, establish the data input and analysis process, and manage the tool ongoing.

Calendar, travel and expense management

On behalf of the Strategy & Business Development team, manage calendars, travel arrangements, and expenses. Develop relationships with other assistants and leaders in the company to effectively balance multiple and competing priorities and ensure meetings are timely and effective. Organize travel for the team to maximize productive time within the Company's travel policy. Process travel and entertainment expenses on behalf of the team, and ensure that invoices are being paid as specified in vendor contracts via Catalyst (or other) payment management software.


Education: Formal graphic design and presentation development training, with Bachelor's Degree preferred.


  • 2-5 years of graphic design and presentation production experience ideally in a corporate or consulting environment

  • 1-2 years executive assistant experience and power user of Microsoft Office suite and ideally Concur travel management solution

  • Familiarity with CRM/pipeline management applications (i.e. Salesforce.com)

  • Excellent team player able to effectively work across the company at all organizational levels

  • Strong organizational and communication skills (i.e. manage multiple priorities and projects)
