As a Sr. Business Analyst, Performance Analytics at United Rentals, you will be responsible for supporting the company’s efforts to use analytics, data mining, and financial modeling to drive improved decision making, increased return on investment and profitable growth. You will be a key member of projects that demonstrate the use of Advanced Analytic and Visualization techniques throughout the organization.

Additional duties include the following:

  • Contribute to the use of analytics, data mining, visualization, and modeling to drive improved decision making

  • Identify areas where the company’s data can be leveraged with analytical skills and measure/track success of predicted data and results

  • Use advanced analytical and visualization techniques to show progress and opportunities for operational efficiencies, sales trends, organic growth, forecasting etc

  • Conduct advanced data analysis and highly complex designs algorithms

  • Run data queries and analyze data using Tableau to test data for future production usage

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships both at the field and corporate level in order to operationalize and take action from the learning from the data analytics

  • Other duties assigned as needed

Job Requirements:

  • Degree in Information Management, Statistics, Econometrics, Operations Research or Analytical/Quantitative Methods

  • 3-5 years progressive analysis experience

  • Strong experience in advanced analytics tools such as R or SAS

  • Strong experience in visualization and BI tools such as Tableau, Cognos

  • Must have experience in developing new tools and presenting them to all levels of an organization

  • Strong communication & interpersonal skills

  • Advanced analytical and problem solving skills with knowledge of technology tools that support this work
