United Rentals Treasury Analyst in Stamford, Connecticut

As a Treasury Analyst at United Rentals, you will be responsible for daily corporate liquidity management activities. Provide corporate and branch support for liquidity management issues. You will support the Treasury Manager by assisting in the implementation and follow through of new initiatives.

Additional duties include the following:

  • Make borrowing recommendation for Treasurer or Assistant Treasurer’s approval

  • Reconcile forecasted to actual transactions for total company cash payments and wire transfers

  • On a daily basis monitor and transfer funds from various lockbox, depository, and sorting accounts

  • Execute daily transfers for funds

  • Complete reports of cash activity in United Rentals Corporate accounts including updates to various Excel models utilized by various departments

  • Follow up on requests and ensure appropriate sign off occurs

  • Enter wire transfers into banking platform

  • Open & close bank accounts, update signatory information when necessary, add and remove banking platform users, forward bank statements and lockbox receipts when offices close or consolidate, and coordinate with Banks for opening/closing of branches

  • Manage check and cash collections at the corporate headquarters

  • Prepare month-end GL upload

  • Monitor and track foreign exchange trades

  • Other duties assigned as needed

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related business field

  • 0-2 years related experience

  • Intermediate Excel and PowerPoint skills required

  • Good interpersonal and communication skills necessary

  • Exceptional ability to multitask, provide attention to detail, and maintaining a professional attitude

  • Must possess exceptional time management skills

  • Able to thrive in a demanding, fast-paced environment
